Nearly five pints of water, so the refill can wait until you're home. This 2.7-litre bottle opens with one touch, takes a detachable straw or lets you drink straight from it, and is built leak-proof for the bottom of a gym bag. Long sessions, long walks, long days: it's the big one.

Big doesn't have to mean awkward, though. Here's what makes it easy to carry.

A big bottle that's easy to live with

• Fewer trips to the tap: 2,700ml in one bottle.
• Sip or gulp: use the detachable straw or take it off and drink directly.
• Open it one-handed: a single press on the lid and you're drinking.
• Bag-safe: leak-proof, in tough, impact-resistant materials.
• Carry it your way: an ergonomic grip, plus a detachable strap.
• Hot water too: holds liquids up to 90°C.
