Strap it round your wrist, forearm or ankle, press the button, and the band lights up along its length. Drivers coming up beside you or behind you see a moving line of colour in the dark, so the evening run, the dog walk and the ride home carry on as normal. It's USB rechargeable, weighs 33 g and comes in five colours.

Seen before the headlights find you: the light comes from the band itself, so you show up from the side and from behind, with a reflective strip working as back-up.

You know your loop. The kerb that dips, the lamp post that's always out, the stretch by the park where the pavement runs out. None of that changes when the evenings get dark. What changes is whether the car coming up behind you knows you're there. Will it fit round my upper arm?: Not over a coat. The strap is 30 cm long, which is too short for an adult upper arm in winter layers. It's made to sit on the wrist, forearm or ankle, where it fits easily and where the movement of your arms and legs makes the light more noticeable.
Is there a charging cable in the box?: No. You get the armband itself, which is USB rechargeable. Charge it fully before your first outing.
How long does a charge last?: The maker doesn't publish a run time, so we won't guess one. Charge it after each outing and it's ready for the next.
Can I wear it in the rain?: The maker gives no water rating, so we don't claim one. If you've been out in the wet, wipe it dry before you charge it.
Should I use flashing or steady?: Flashing is the one that catches a driver's eye on a road. Steady is calmer on shared paths and in the park, where a flash can be distracting for people walking towards you.
What colour light does the black one have?: White. The black version is a black strap with a white light. The other four colours glow in their own colour.
Can my child or my dog wear it?: The strap adjusts down for a child's wrist or ankle. For the dog, wrap it round the lead handle or wear it yourself on the hand holding the lead, so the light is right where a driver will see the pair of you.
Where does it ship from, and how long does it take?: Your order is dispatched from the warehouses we use in China, usually within 1 to 2 business days, then it's usually 4 to 7 days in transit to the UK. Delivery is free and tracked, with no customs or import charges to pay when it arrives.
