Honeycomb Cat Litter Mat, Double Layer, 55 × 75 cm

No more litter crunching under your socks.

Your cat steps out of the tray onto soft honeycomb, and the litter stuck to its paws drops into the mat instead of trailing across the floor. When it's full, lift the top layer and tip the lot back into the tray. And it comes with Back in the Tray, our £19.99 guide to getting the litter tray right, free.

Catches it at the paws: raised honeycomb cells grab the litter your cat carries out on its feet, so it ends up in the mat, not down the hallway.
Nothing reaches your floor: the lower layer is sealed and waterproof, so the litter that falls through the holes stays inside the mat.
Empties back into the tray: lift the top layer and pour the clean litter straight back in. Less sweeping, less wasted litter.
Room to step off: at 55 × 75 cm it gives your cat a proper landing strip in front of the tray, not a narrow doormat to hop over.
Soft on paws, stays put: cushioned EVA feels gentle underfoot, and the round-holed underside grips the floor instead of sliding about.
Plus a £19.99 guide, free: Back in the Tray, 60 pages and 8 printables on tray size, number, place, litter and cleaning, with a 28-day plan if your cat ever starts going elsewhere. Sent by email as a PDF.

Why the litter stays in the mat

Every paw that leaves the tray carries a few grains with it. On a flat mat or bare floor they skid off and scatter. Here each step presses into deep honeycomb cells, the grains shake loose, and they drop through the holes into the layer underneath. It works with the granular litters most UK homes use: clumping clay, crystals, and wood or plant pellets.

Lift, tip, and the litter's back in the tray

Once a day, or whenever you scoop, lift the top layer at one end and pour what's collected back into the tray. Clean litter goes back in. Anything soiled goes in the bin with the scoopings. No dustpan, and no bag of litter slowly disappearing into your skirting boards.

Sealed underneath, and it doesn't wander

The bottom layer is waterproof, so what falls in stays between the layers instead of working its way onto your floor. Underneath, rows of round holes give the mat grip, so it stays where you put it when a cat launches itself out of the tray.

Khaki honeycomb litter mat laid in front of a litter tray, marked 55 × 75 cm

Big enough to catch the exit

At 55 × 75 cm (21.6 × 29.5 in), it's wide enough to sit across the front of a standard tray with room either side, and deep enough that your cat's first steps out land on the mat. Before you order, measure the floor in front of your tray, or wherever your cat hops out of a top-entry box.

It arrives folded. Give it a day.

To ship at this size, the mat has to be folded, so it'll have creases when it arrives. Lay it flat for 24 hours before you put it down, and the fold marks keep settling out as it's walked on. After that it's a wipe down or a rinse with water now and then, and let it dry flat.

Your free guide: Back in the Tray

A tidy floor is half the job. The other half is a tray your cat is happy to use, and that's what this 60-page guide is about: the right tray size for your cat, how many trays, where they go, which litter, and how to clean them. If your cat ever starts weeing or pooing outside the tray, it takes you through the vet check, the clues and a 28-day plan to fix it. It sells on its own for £19.99. With this mat, it's yours free, as a PDF download sent by email when you order.

Will it work with my cat's litter?
If it's a granular litter, yes. Clumping clay, crystals, and wood or plant pellets all get caught in the honeycomb cells and drop through into the layer below.
How do I empty it?
Lift the top layer at one end and tip the collected litter back into the tray. Put clean litter back in the tray and anything soiled in the bin. Doing it when you scoop keeps it quick.
How do I clean it?
Tip it out, then wipe it down or rinse it with water and let it dry flat. The EVA is soft and washable.
Will it fit in front of my tray?
The mat is 55 × 75 cm. Measure the floor space in front of your tray: if you have 75 cm across and 55 cm of depth, it fits with the long side along the tray. For a top-entry box, put it where your cat jumps out.
Why does it arrive creased?
It's folded to ship at this size. Lay it flat for 24 hours before you use it, and the creases keep easing out as your cat walks on it.
Will a litter mat stop my cat going outside the tray?
No, and nothing you put on the floor will. The mat catches litter carried out on paws. A cat weeing or pooing beside the tray is telling you something about the tray, its health or the house, and that's exactly what your free copy of Back in the Tray helps you work out, starting with when to see the vet.
How do I get the free guide?
It comes with every mat. After you order, we email you a link to download Back in the Tray as a PDF. Read it on your phone and print the pages you want to use.
What about delivery and returns?
Delivery is free and tracked. If the mat isn't right, you have 30 days to send it back free, as long as it's unused and in its original packaging.
