Lift the basket and the water stays behind
That's the whole trick, and you can watch it work. Rinse in the basket, lift it out, and the water runs through the slots into the box below. Tip the water away and you're done. Nothing to transfer, no wet bowl to find room for, no colander left dripping on the counter.
Rinse right before you eat
Berries keep best dry, so leave them dry in the box until you're ready for them. Then rinse them in the basket under the tap, lift it out and let it drain. The water has gone to the bottom of the box, the fruit is up and ready to serve, and there's no colander to find, balance in the sink and wash. Grapes, cherry tomatoes and salad leaves get the same lift-and-drain.

What's in the 4-piece set
Two lidded boxes, 800 ml and 1700 ml, and two removable colander baskets that fit inside them. The small box handles berries, grapes and cherry tomatoes. The large box takes salad leaves and chopped veg. Every box has a clear latching lid with a silicone sealing ring, a clear body and a gray latch rim, and every basket is white.
A note on shelf space
Rigid boxes take more room than a bag, and that's the trade for produce that stays put and stays visible. The 4-piece set is two boxes in two sizes rather than a heap of them, so you pick the size to match the shop. If your fridge is already packed to the door, start there and see how you use it.

Sizes are the maker's, width x length x height, rounded. Every box comes with its own colander basket that sits inside it, so the basket is a little smaller than the box. Check the boxes against your shelf height before you choose: the 1700 ml box is 9.5 cm (3.7 in) tall, the 3150 ml box is 11 cm (4.3 in).

Is the 4-piece set four containers?
No. It's two lidded containers (800 ml and 1700 ml) and two removable colander baskets that sit inside them. The 8-piece set is four containers and four baskets.
How does the colander work?
The white basket sits inside the clear box. Rinse your produce in the basket, lift it out and the water runs through the slots into the box below, then tip the water away and set the basket back. Produce stays raised above any water at the bottom.
Should I wash fruit and veg before I store it?
For berries, the usual food-safety advice is to keep them dry and rinse them just before you eat, and the basket is made for that moment: rinse, lift, drain. For other produce, keep doing what you already do. The basket is there when you rinse.
How long will berries and salad last in it?
We haven't run a freshness test, so we won't promise a number of days. What the design does is keep produce raised above the water it was rinsed in, and that's the job of the basket.
Can it go in the dishwasher, microwave or freezer?
The maker doesn't give care ratings for this set, so we haven't claimed any. Warm soapy water by hand is the careful default.
Do the boxes fit side by side on a shelf?

Will it leak if I carry it in a bag?
It's made for the fridge: a latching lid with a silicone sealing ring keeps a box closed when you move it around the shelf. We haven't tested it as a carry-around lunch box, so keep it upright and don't count on it for liquids in a bag.

What if a lid arrives cracked or something's wrong?
Get in touch with us. If it's faulty, damaged or the wrong item, just get in touch: we cover the cost of sending it back and refund you in full under our Refund Policy. Otherwise you have 30 days from delivery to ask for a return, with return postage paid by you.
