The Reach Cane: Hook Self-Massage Cane for Your Upper Back and Shoulders

The spot behind your shoulder blade, finally within reach.

You know the one: just beside the shoulder blade, where your own fingers give up. The Reach Cane curls over your shoulder so the tip lands right there. A 33 cm (13 in) shaft, a 25 cm (10 in) hook, a firm grip, and you decide how much pressure. No battery, no plug, no one to ask. A free 10-minute routine guide shows you where to start.

Gets over your shoulder: the 25 cm (10 in) hook arcs back so the tip lands on the muscle beside your shoulder blade, the area a hand can't get to.
A long shaft that does the leaning: 33 cm (13 in) of lever, so you don't have to push hard. Light, steady pressure is the whole idea.
One knob at the tip: a single oval knob concentrates the pressure where you place it, so a small tool does a lot in a small spot.
You set the pressure: manual, nothing to charge, and you press as lightly or as firmly as feels good.
Works on more than your back: hips, glutes and thighs too: sit down, hold the grip and lean the tip into the muscle.
A routine to go with it: the free Light Touch guide gives you 10 minutes, before you train, after, and the day after, plus a body map showing where it goes.
Easy to keep in reach: metal and plastic, slim enough to leave by the sofa or the desk so you actually pick it up.

A lever for the spot you can't reach

Everyone has a spot they can't get to. For most of us it sits just under the shoulder blade, a little too far behind and a little too high. A hook cane solves the geometry. The curve takes the tip over your shoulder, and the long shaft turns a light lean of your hand into steady pressure at the other end. It's the oldest trick in self-massage, and it works because it's simple.

How to use it

Hold the grip and loop the hook over your shoulder, so the knob rests on the muscle beside your shoulder blade. Draw the grip gently toward you and the tip presses in. Keep it light, move it slowly, and spend a minute or two on one area at most. Switch hands to reach the other side. Sitting down, you can also press the tip into your glute or thigh. Keep it on muscle: never on your spine or the front of your neck.

Free with your order: Light Touch, a 10-minute routine

Plenty of people end up with a tool and no idea where to start, so we wrote the guide. Light Touch is a short PDF, sent to your email after your order. It splits your ten minutes into three moments (2 minutes before you train, 5 after, 3 the day after), shows on a body map where the cane goes and where to leave well alone, and finishes with a 7-day starter plan. It's yours to keep whether or not you use the cane every day.

Good to know: grip color varies

The grip comes in different colors and the one you get is chosen at dispatch, so yours may not match the picture, which shows black. It's the same cane whatever the color. It arrives in one tracked parcel, and you'll get a tracking number as soon as it ships.

What do I get?

One hook self-massage cane, plus the free Light Touch guide as a PDF by email.

Where do I use it?

On the muscle beside your shoulder blade, across your upper back and shoulders, and sitting down on your hips, glutes and thighs. The free guide has a body map that shows each spot.

Can I use it on my neck or spine?

Stay on the muscle: not on the spine, not on the front of your neck, and not on bony areas. If you have an injury or a medical condition, check with your doctor first.

How hard should I press?

Lighter than you think. Start gentle, keep the tip moving, and spend a minute or two at most on one area. If it's sharp or it hurts, ease off.

Is the grip always black?

No. The grip color varies from one cane to the next and is chosen at dispatch. The picture shows black. It's the same cane whatever color you get.

How do I get the free guide?

Light Touch is sent as a PDF link to the email you gave at checkout after your order. Read it on your phone or print the one-page routine card.

How long does delivery take, and what if something's wrong?

Your parcel is tracked and usually takes 4 to 7 days to the UK, 6 to 11 to the US and 7 to 12 to Canada. If an item arrives faulty, damaged or wrong, get in touch and we'll refund you without needing it back. Otherwise you have 30 days from delivery to ask for a return, with return postage paid by you.

A longer reach for your own back

One hook cane for the spot you can't get to, and a 10-minute routine that tells you where to start. Tracked delivery. 30 days to return it.
