The Hands-On Shawl: Heated Kneading Neck and Shoulder Massager

Drape it on, press a button, let the warm fingers get to work.

Eight fingers knead across the top of your shoulders and a thumb presses in at the base, with warmth behind them, and your hands stay free. The Hands-On Shawl rests over your neck and shoulders like a pair of hands that never tire: pick one of 3 speeds, switch on the heat if you want it, and sit back while the 15-minute timer does the counting. Rechargeable by USB-C, no cable while you use it. A free 10-minute routine guide shows you how to fit it into your day.

Fingers that knead, a thumb that presses: shaped like a pair of hands, with fingers working across the top of your shoulders and a thumb at the base, so it feels like a person rather than a buzz.
Warmth when you want it: two heat levels, from 40 to 45 °C (104 to 113 °F), so the fingers are warm where they touch. Switch the heat off for kneading alone.
Your speed, your evening: three speeds, low, medium or high, with buttons you can find without looking.
A timer that stops for you: 15 minutes, then it switches itself off, so you can close your eyes and not watch the clock.
Hands-free and cordless: a strap holds it in place and the battery runs 70 to 80 minutes, so you can sit on the sofa, at the desk or on a train and carry on with your day.
USB-C and a cable in the box: a 2000 mAh rechargeable battery, about 3 hours from flat to full, and the charging cable is included.
A soft, fabric-covered shape: a fabric cover on a strong ABS housing, with silicone fingers, in a deep green that looks at home on a chair.
A routine to go with it: the free Light Touch guide gives you 10 minutes, before you train, after, and the day after, plus a body map showing where it goes.

The hands you wish someone had

Reaching your own shoulders is awkward, and a partner's hands get tired long before you do. The Hands-On Shawl is built for that moment. The shape drapes over your neck and the top of your shoulders, silicone fingers spread across the muscle and knead, and a thumb at the base presses in. Add warmth and it feels like a hand that has just come in from somewhere cosy. It's a small machine with one job: sit there, work the top of your shoulders, and leave you free to read, watch something or just close your eyes.

How to use it

Charge it fully first, then drape the shawl over the back of your neck and the top of your shoulders, with the fingers on the muscle and the strap holding it in place. Press the power button, choose a speed, and add heat if you want it. It switches itself off after 15 minutes. Start on the lowest speed and the lower heat setting and work up only if it feels good. Keep it on the muscle at the back of the neck and across the shoulders: never on the front of your neck, your throat, your spine or any bony area. It can't be switched on while it's charging.

Free with your order: Light Touch, a 10-minute routine

A shawl is easy to use for a while and then forget in a drawer, so we wrote the guide. Light Touch is a short PDF, sent to your email after your order. It splits your ten minutes into three moments (2 minutes before you train, 5 after, 3 the day after), shows on a body map where the tool goes and where to leave well alone, and finishes with a 7-day starter plan. It's yours to keep whether or not you use the shawl every day.

Before the first use: charge it

For air-freight safety rules the battery travels discharged, so give it a full charge, about 3 hours, before you switch it on for the first time. The light tells you where you are: white flashes when the battery is low, red flashes while it charges, and a steady white light means it's full or switched on. You'll need a 5V standard USB adapter (1A or 2A) of your own, and the cable is in the box.

What do I get?

One kneading shawl massager with a USB-C charging cable, an instruction manual and a retail box, plus the free Light Touch guide as a PDF by email.

Do I need to charge it first?

Yes. For air-freight safety it ships discharged, so charge it fully, about 3 hours, before the first use. It can't be switched on while it's charging.

What do I plug the cable into?

Any standard 5V USB adapter, 1A or 2A. The cable is in the box, the adapter isn't.

How long does a charge last?

About 70 to 80 minutes of use. Each session runs for a 15-minute timer, so that's several sessions between charges.

How warm does it get?

Two heat levels, between 40 and 45 °C (104 to 113 °F). You can switch the heat off and use the kneading alone.

Where do I use it?

Across the back of your neck and the top of your shoulders, with the fingers on the muscle. The free guide has a body map that shows each spot.

Can I use it on the front of my neck or my spine?

No. Keep it on the muscle at the back of the neck and across the shoulders, away from your throat, the front of your neck, your spine and bony areas. If you have an injury or a medical condition, are pregnant or have an implanted medical device, check with your doctor first.

How hard should it press?

Start on the lowest speed and the lower heat setting. If you want more, move up one step at a time. If it's sharp or it hurts, switch it off.

Is there a color choice?

No, it comes in one deep green.

How do I get the free guide?

Light Touch is sent as a PDF link to the email you gave at checkout after your order. Read it on your phone or print the one-page routine card.

How long does delivery take, and what if something's wrong?

Your parcel is tracked and usually takes 4 to 7 days to the UK, 6 to 11 to the US and 7 to 12 to Canada. If an item arrives faulty, damaged or wrong, get in touch and we'll refund you without needing it back. Otherwise you have 30 days from delivery to ask for a return, with return postage paid by you.
